Ttv Fun!

Ok, so I finally tried making fake ttv photos, and they're pretty awesome (and easy!).

First, you have to download some ttv frames (flickr has a ton, such as here: http://www.flickr.com/groups/ttvdust/pool/). Then you open both your picture and the frame in photoshop. Next, if the ttv is square-- and most are, you need to crop your picture square (use the rectangle marquee tool and at the top where it says style, go to fixed ratio and pick 1:1). Then go to the image size and make your pic the same size as the frame. Next, go to the frame, select all (ctrl-A), and copy (ctrl-C). Paste (ctrl-V) it onto your picture. Finally in the layers box and pick the layer style multiply. And you're done! If you want, now you can adjust your picture layer how you want (for ex. add noise, exposure, photo filters, etc.)

I am so relieved that I dont have to retake the PCAT, I really didnt think I did that well (87th percentile!). Also exciting is that I finished my 1st art journal!! :) Now, I've gotta find a new one to start on (maybe I'll find one on vacation). We'll see.

Anyways, just wanted to share my last page(s).

You cant really read the main journaling on the right page through the crayon and chipboard tag.. (oh well--it basically says how im excited about my score and I need to stop worrying about school, etc. and let God take control.) but the bottom is a bible verse: Psalms 91:10-11 No evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling. For He will put angels in charge of you to guard you in all your ways.

I finally finished a few scrabble tile pendants!! All are hand painted/drawn and assembled! I'll hopefully be opening my etsy shop (Aly Inked) as soon as we're back from vacation! :)

I've gotta start working on stuff for etsy...I dont think I have any pendants fully assembled yet, the parts are ready though. I want to start beading and trying embroidery some more too.

2 new pages in my journal: (only 2 more and this journal will be full!)

On the second one I finally tried using the neocolor 2 crayons on a page---they're as awesome for journaling as you would expect. My markers and ink pen even wrote over them with no problem! I'm definitely going to start using them more, they're so much fun! :)

Today.

Well, I finally broke down and joined facebook, but now I can't figure out how to do anything on it... I also made a wall hanging! It's kind of filling up my bulletin board, but it makes me happy. :) Only about a month and a half left of summer--enjoy it!
